Fringes & Mirrors

When I first moved to New York I had no idea what I’d gotten myself into. I knew I had an internship at Manhattan’s most influential PR company awaiting for me. I also knew that I somehow had to graduate university taking classes and exams over the internet. What I didn’t know was that I would meet the man in my life. That he would be waiting for me on the other side of the planet was not expected. Nor did I know that this year (almost) would push every personal boundary possible. Lots of drama, things to handle on my own (without a safety net living 30min away), situations to deal with, emotions… I tell you boundaries have been pushed.

I’ve always been a traveller, an explorer, an adventurer. It gives me energy. It makes me happy. Creative. When I first moved to New York I was told, that my style would change. I was the very first one to defend my Scandinavian roots. I’ve always associated Scandinavia with great, minimalistic style. Good quality. No matter how adventures I get, that’s for sure staying with me. But as my boundaries have moved, and I as a person have developed, so has my style. I feel so much inspiration towards fashion, and how it makes me happy to wear clothes that reflects me. I’m a big believer that your outfit tells on you. How you feel that exact day, and what inspired you. Lately I’ve been playing with statement pieces making a little more noise in the streets of New York. Here there’s no right or wrong, and no matter what you wear, somebody’s gonna beat you making even more of a statement. So I decided to join the club. In my Scandinavian way. Fashion is about having fun, feeling inspired, and being creative. And last Sunday I thought fringes and mirrored sunglasses was a hell lot of fun.
