It has been hot in New York lately! The weather here suddenly knows how to do summer. So after a week of being trapped at the office, sweating like crazy in the subway, and dreaming about that fresh breeze Edward and I decided it was time for a little weekend getaway. I left the office Friday at 3PM on the dot and went home to pack our bags. I had booked a hotel room at Long Beach Hotel which is this cute little beach hotel just a two minute walk from the boardwalk by Long Beach. The room was a bit small, but it was clean, affordable, had a good location, and the staff was very nice and service minded.

We spent Friday night walking on the boardwalk, eating tacos and churros from the food trucks by the beach (which most of all reminded me of LA and watching Beverly Hills 90210, heaven!), and kissing and holding hands a little more than usual. Saturday we spent all day at the beach. Mission: work on that non-existing tan I had going on + start reading Oprah’s biography.

You know those times when you’re really looking forward to an event and you plan your whole outfit days in advance? I totally did that for this trip. I had thought of my beach outfit the whole week. A loose white unbuttoned shirt with my bikinitop under, high-waisted denim shorts, my new  pink shades, and best of all: my new pom-pom straw tote. I simply love that bag!

The weekend was a great succes. I’m am back in The City as we speak, energized, with a golden tan, and a little closer to finding out what Oprah really knows for sure. See you soon! And if you wan’t to see me sooner than soon, you can always head over to my Snapchat: ChrisWonsbeck and Instagram were I share little bits and pieces from my everyday life here in New York (a little more regularly)!
