December 7th: In Gossip Girl

Today I’m coming at you with a New York experience to add to your NYC to-do list. Any Gossip Girl fans out there? Yes? You know that episode where Serena, Blair, Nate etc walk around with a white mask on in something that looks like a scene from a freaky play?

Last night I wondered off to the McKittrick Hotel with Mie for a night of immersive and mystical theater. Mie had convinced me to go, not knowing at all what I had said yes to. We were handed a playing card which would decide the destiny of our entrance to the play. Then a mask. Inside it was dark, dramatic music was playing, and actors were taking us around the rooms of the hotel as the story developed. When we came out we were met with live 1920’s jazz music and great drinks.

 It was such a cool night that completely made me forget about everything else!
