Be Your Own Best Friend

Be-Your-Own-Best-Friend

My mom always used to tell me; “nothing is so bad that no good will come out of it”. Times can be really bad, or unbelievably tough or scary, but there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Something that will make you realise why a specific situation hit you. But you have to believe it. Something I from time to time have struggled with growing up, but also something I’ve really integrated in my way of thinking about life. A mindset.

Some of my favourite people (and dear friends) has left the company (where I’m interning) over the last few weeks, and it has put me in a very weird mood. I could just feel the uncomfortable emptiness building up inside me. It’s like I was afraid to loose the good energy and cool vibe they added to my everyday life. You know what I mean?

So when things sometimes sucks, I remember to take a break (a lunch break, an after work break etc.) for a calm moment to put me back into the mindset. Remembering all the good stuff. Remembering that I’m my own good energy, and that I’m responsible for bringing my own cool vibe into my everyday life. Believing in myself. Not that friends aren’t important, they are priceless, but in the end you really have to be your own best friend. And if you remember that, eventually things will get into place. Be it getting new colleagues, or a new exciting opportunity opening. There’s always a reason. Magic will happen, if you believe it.

Love you guys!
