Autumn in New York

Sunday. One of those beautiful and sunny, but freezing Autumn days in New York. And one of those days where I felt more inspired than I have been for a while (hint the missing blogposts…). It was a perfect day to take my camel coat (and Emma) for a stroll in The West Village, doing a little bit of shopping, having coffee (mandatory), and just enjoying this lovely city that we are so lucky to live in. I guess it has taken me a while to admit to myself, that I cannot live the New York adventure every single day, when also having a full time job and finishing my BA. It has been a feeling of not getting enough things done. Of having to be out and about in New York 24/7. Admitting to myself that I simply can’t do everything was a process. But I think I’m there. Almost.
So this weekend I decided to get the boring things out of the way (get things done, so to say), and make some room for a relaxing Sunday after the chores. A Sundate (Hah, got that?!). Just me, my city, and a fab friend. And it felt so good. So calming. Leaving me with energy for the new week to come. And this Friday, as I write this, I’m still filled up with this happy feeling, a good vibe if you will. Maybe it’s because the weekend is just around the corner, or maybe it’s simply because I finally figured it out.
