Pumpkin Picking in New Jersey
Yesterday it was finally time for pumpkin picking! Jenni and I took a drive to the Demarest Farm in Jersey, which a 35-minute drive from Upper Manhattan surrounded by the most beautiful fall foliage. I wanted to pick up some apples (to make this yummy recipe that Acie posted about), and a pumpkin to carve and put outside our front door for Halloween on Tuesday (About Halloween… I really need to buy some candy also! And read up on the ‘trick or treat’-ing, never tried that before).
We took a hay-ride to the Pumpkin Patch, where hundreds of pumpkins were laid out on the field (I kind of thought I would be picking my pumpkin and cutting it free, but this would do too). There was a little stand selling apple cider and donuts, and there was even goats and sheep to feed. It was a pretty perfect place to go with children, but my inner child loved it too. And on top of that, it was just so darn picturesque.
I also made a little video for you guys. Find it down below.
I wore a simple, but oh so loved outfit. My Zara blazer jacket on top of a plain tee and skinny jeans, and a pair of black & Other Stories booties. As always I styled it up with my everyday jewelry, a good pair of Ray-Bans, and a cute bag.
