A PATENT LEATHER SKIRT’S TALE
Shop the look
This weekend I found myself full of luck in the inspiration department, falling in love with contrasts so bold that suddenly grandma was in the mix with Vivian from pretty woman, and then a bit of Scandi-chic down south. I wish this forenamed department was the famous Vogue closet (although I’ve never actually seen the real thing, and therefore don’t know if it’s just a myth created in The Devil Wears Prada), but anyway my humble Bronx-drawers worked fine as well.
On this weekend a sexy lady aka a patent leather skirt from Zara called my name so loud, I just had to try it on. Now I never imagined myself be associated with the local sex shop on the corner, so that’s probably why the (if I must say) genius idea of bringing grandma into the picture came to me. It would either 1. Create the perfect balanced yet loudly yelling “I know fashion”-outfit, or 2. Create an illusion of prostitute meets chic grandma, which would put all the wrong fantasies into people?s heads. I don’t know. I’m pretty sure I believe in case no. 1. But if I asked Edward I’m also pretty sure he wouldn?t agree. The word “goth” even came out of his mouth. But I’ll take it, and luckily I’m not asking him anyway.
So there you have it. Grandma meets Pretty Woman meets Scandi-chic, and I was ready for Saturday?s Christmas party.
