Updated Skincare Routine: Morning, Day Time, Evening

skincare-routine-fashioneclecticGood afternoon angels,

It’s time for a little beauty update in here. I haven’t done one in ages, so I thought it was about time. I’ve had the craziest journey to beautiful skin, and although I wouldn’t say I’m there yet, I’m sooo much more happy than I used to be. If you have followed my blogging journey since my early days (first of all, THANK YOU!), you will also know that I’ve battled A LOT with Acne. Such an annoying, terrible skin disease that is so hard to get rid off. I tried basically everything, before I finally tried the strong A-vitamin pills as a 21y/o and finally found my skin-happiness. So after such a turbulent journey, my skin structure has also changed quite a bit. I now have normal to dry skin with a few deeper scars from the Acne era.

I therefore have also had to find new products to fit my new skin type. I find the best way to try new products, is to buy travel sized items. Then you can give a lot of different ones a try without breaking the bank (Halleluhja, for Sephora and their point system!).

MORNING
I’ve especially loved washing my face with Shiseido IBUKI Gentle Cleanser and thereafter using the Shiseido WrinkleResist24 Day Cream. Not only does it smell divine, it also leaves my skin so moist and soft. After trying theWrinkleResist24 Day Cream in a tester I went ahead and purchased the 50ml jar and I’m telling you there’s a looong way to finish that one. If I feel extra puffy in the morning, I’ll use my jade roller to cool and depuff my skin.

DAY TIME
During the day I always have a lotion or handcreme with me. I tend to get dry hands and arms (especially during the winter), and for this I’ve been using Australian Bodycare’s Intensive Repair body cream with Tea Tree Oil. It smells a little strong of the Tea Tree Oil, but for some weird reason that makes me feel very healthy. We usually have this tube laying in the car, so when one person takes it out to use it, everyone seems to join in and suddenly our car smells like a spa. LOL.

EVENING
In the evening I use the same Shiseido IBUKI Gentle Cleanser, and if it’s one of those ‘I need some self-love’-nights I’ll put on Aësop’s Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask for 15 minutes, which always  refreshes my skin leaving it like a baby’s bum, when I’m done. Then purely because I need to buy a night cream I also use the Shiseido WrinkleResist24 Day Cream at night. It’s been working quite well though (but I am on the hunt for the Shiseido Night Cream). Hereafter I’ll use Ole Henriksen’s Banana Bright Eye Creme under and over my eyes and then massage my skin with my jade roller. When using the jade roller remember to roll out. So go from the middle of your face and out: Nose out to ears, chin and out towards your ears, and on the forehead you go from eyebrows and up to your hair line. This jade roller routine had made my skin glow so much more, so I definitely think you should check it out.

If you have any tips for a great skincare routine make sure to leave them down below! I would love to know.

Xx Christina
